Ward 15 City Councillor October 26, 2026
Waterdown · Carlisle · Flamborough
We pay Cadillac property taxes for horse-and-buggy services. It's time Ward 15 had a squeaky wheel at City Hall to advocate for our needs.
Real problems deserve specific solutions, not vague promises. Here's exactly what I'm fighting for.
Waterdown is being overwhelmed by simultaneous construction chaos: the bridge, Parkside, and the long-delayed bypass all at once. Ward 15 doesn't need another politician making promises. It needs a project manager who's managed complex, high-stakes operations at scale and knows how to hold contractors accountable.
Ward 15 residents pay some of Hamilton's highest property taxes while receiving some of its worst services. The incoming stormwater charge will hit our agricultural operations with tens of thousands of dollars annually. Either Ward 15 gets a fair share of what we put in, or we stop being asked to put in more.
We used to pride ourselves on not locking our doors at night. That has changed. Car thefts, a shooting on Wakefield... Waterdown has no visible police presence and criminals know it. I will seek a position on the police services board and work closely with our incoming police compound on Parkside Drive to restore the safety our community deserves.
Fertile, productive soil is a luxury, not a standard. Once it's paved, it's gone forever. I will protect Ward 15's agricultural lands, investigate resident health concerns related to Opta Minerals' 2023 expansion, and pursue a position on the Hamilton Conservation Authority board to fight the province's plans to develop our woodlands and trails.
I moved to Waterdown in 2001 with my single mother and little sister after the sudden passing of my father. Waterdown District High School gave me my foundation. The University of Guelph, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Ecology, gave me my expertise.
I built my career managing large-scale agricultural production across New Brunswick and Chatham Kent, eventually overseeing six acres of complex greenhouse operations where every decision had real consequences. Project management isn't a concept to me, it's integral to my career, at scale, with no margin for error.
I came back to Ward 15 because this is home. And home deserves someone who shows up fully, fights hard, and knows how to get things done.
Enough with being forgotten by Hamilton City Hall.
